Internet Saving Account Options
An Internet saving account is an easy way in which you can benefit from the high levels of interest that are offered on online saving accounts. Even though Internet banking has become extremely popular, an Internet saving account offers you far more convenience than a traditional savings account with Internet banking access. HSBC Direct….any problems with them?
I have never had dealings with any “internet bank” because of dread of losing money, but have been considering opening a high-yield savings account with places such as HSBC, Ing, Emigrant, and other “internet banks”.
Today, while looking at www.bankrate.com I see HSBC is offering 6.00% APY New Money (with several gothca’s) savings account.
I have about $ 2,000 to deposit, and would keep a minimum balance of at least $ 1,500. Could I make withdrawals by having HSBC “send” money to my bank’s checking account?they are fine. After you open the account online, it takes about 1-2 weeks for them to mail you the account number, login id and password, all in separate letters. you’ll be able to transfer money in and out of the hsbc account online, it’ll take 3 business days to complete each transaction.
Any problems that anyone has had with HSBC accounts? What has your experience with HSBC been ? Is looking at my savings balances online easy?
